The Good Music Agency, Inc will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the entertainment industry with a reunion get-together of its more than 80 lifetime employees and alumni on November 29 in The Meeting Room at the Hard Rock Hotel. The 25th Anniversary celebration will continue throughout the month of December. The company was founded in 1972 in that entertainment capital Missoula, Montana by Doug Brown and Brian Knaff, who still serve as principals. While the company no longer maintains an office in Montana, the Good Music Agency, Inc. has offices in Las Vegas, Minneapolis (MN), Sun Valley (ID), and Seattle, (WA). Over the quarter century the company has been in operation the management and staff has performed almost every task imaginable in the entertainment industry including booking artists, artist management, talent development, show and event production, and state-of-the art recording services. In addition, Good Music Agency, Inc. has secured major label record deals, publishing agreements, and managed the careers of international recording artists. All this while maintaining a diverse talent roster of more than 125 exclusive bands. The 25th anniversary party will bring together Good Music Agency alumni who have helped shape the entire music industry. Industry executives like Chip Hooper (Monterey Peninsula Artists), Ron Baird (Creative Artists Agency), Jim Yelich (Creative Artists Agency), Keith Miller (William Morris Agency), Steve Hoiberg (Monterey Artists), Rick Cady (Monterey Artists), John Dittmar (Pinnacle Entertainment), Randy Erwin (Entertainment Services International), Charles Garza (Disney On Ice), and Marsh Edelstein (Grand Casinos, Inc.) will gather to celebrate Good Music Agency's success as well as their own since moving on. Those Good Music Agency alumni have participated in the careers of a litany of megastars including Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & The Blowfish, Huey Lewis & The News, Wynonna, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, Brian White, John Michael Montgomery, Sawyer Brown, Lyle Lovett, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, The Spin Doctors, White Zombie, Pantera, Seven Mary Three, Mitch Ryder, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Rare Earth, Humble Pie, and Badfinger. Add to that list Good Music Agency's list of superstars including The Jets, Henry Lee Summer, Rick Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr., Michael Martin Murphy, and Johnny Lang among the many and you’ve got every genre of music and three generations of talent and industry movement. While the company was born in, of all places, Montana, it now covers the USA. "We have always been about building a national network which will benefit all our clients as well as offering a legitimate, credible service to the industry," says Knaff. Just this year the Talent Buyers Network, a subsidiary of the Good Music Agency, Inc., was realized. The company currently books talent exclusively for the Silver Legacy in Reno, Nevada and is providing that same service to many Native American casinos as well. He adds, "We can outsource entertainment for casinos and provide them national relationships which fill their lounges and showrooms with talent that was previously all but unavailable to them due to their singularity." Knaff and Good Music Agency’s Las Vegas office has been open since 1989 just prior to the mega-resort boom. That growth and Good Music Agency's 'root system' and alumni resources has made for the perfect Las Vegas marriage. While the 25th anniversary party for the Good Music Agency is private for alumni and current employees only, the media is invited to cover the event.
